A guided tour of the art exhibit how the light gets in at the Johnson Art MuseumCornell University, led by Carol Hockett, Coordinator of School and Family Programs.
Join with the Tikkun v’Or community as we witness this remarkable art exhibit that makes visible the longing, fear, confusion, hope, and alienation—that are part of the im/migrant experience.

how the light gets in brings together a group of about 52 artists and artist collectives from 32 countries whose work engages themes of migration, immigration, displacement, and exile. The exhibit presents mainly post–9/11 artworks that address conditions of mobility, vulnerability, and the loss of and yearning for home. how the light gets in is about hope at a time in which migration has become one of the most pressing issues for humanity. This fall all of the museum’s temporary exhibit spaces are dedicated to this exhibit.
