(online) Welcome Shabbat with Rabbi Brian Please join us this week, young and old, for a joyous online celebration of Shabbat. Bring your Shabbat candles, challah and wine/grape juice, if you wish. We will light the candles together and gaze at the Shabbes candles and our beautiful faces on the screen. Will Fudeman and Lauren Korfine will lead us in a new contemporary, corona-virus appropriate English translation/reinterpretation of the Yiddish song we love, Ale Brider/Shvester. It is the song with a refrain of the most important Yiddish word: oy, oy, oy! Rabbi Brian will share a Shabbat story and also talk a little about the Torah portion, Tazria-Metzora, that describes how the ancient Israelites dealt with infectious disease! Yes, that is the topic of the Torah portion for this week! In previous years I have struggled to understand how to make this portion relevant. Not this year!
