Programs & Co-Sponsorship

Tikkun v’Or welcomes ideas for programs from members and community organizations. We love to host and co-sponsor programs. However, we are a small congregation with limited financial resources to support groups or activities. We also have abundant energy, but limited personnel and a busy calendar. For these and other reasons, we ask for this form to be filled out when proposing programs and co-sponsorships.

Please note that Tikkun v’Or values the opportunity to collaborate with social justice efforts and Jewish-affiliated and other groups and organizations. Co-sponsorship of projects and events is an important way that we address issues related to the mission of our vital Jewish community. As a co-sponsor of an event, our contributions usually are “in kind” or in cooperation. However, the Executive Committee, in conjunction with other committees and individuals, is willing to consider all proposals.

To propose a program or co-sponsorship of an event, please fill out this form  and send to presidents_22@tikkunvor.org at least one month before your proposed program. Note updated 2022 updated policies on program proposals.

If you are planning a program, please note this Affirming Statement and policy for programs hosted or sponsored by TVO Committees or Workgroups.

AFFIRMING STATEMENT: The rabbis of the Talmud explained the concept of expressing differences of opinion succinctly, “both these and those are the words of the living God

We are a congregation of multiple views. We treasure the richness, diversity and complexity our community has to offer. At the same time, no one statement, event, or print material created by an individual congregant or congregation committee/work group represents endorsement by all members of the congregation.

We welcome and encourage committees/workgroups, and members to put on a broad range of programs that address the diverse perspectives held by congregation members.
